The Council of Ministers responds to the request of civil action organizations and agrees to extend the period of success for their conditions for another year that ends on January 11, 2023

Yasser Badri 22-1-2022 The Council of Ministers, headed by Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, approved a draft law to amend some provisions of the law regulating the practice of civil action No. 149 of 2019, extending the period of reconciling the conditions of civil society organizations for another year, starting from the date of the end of the period in the second article of the laws of the issuance of the law on January 11, 2022, and ends on January 11, 2023, which coincides with the announcement of the President of the Republic in 2022 years of civil society. The Ministry of Social Solidarity announced that about 32 thousand civil societies and institutions have finished the electronic registration procedures to reconcile their conditions, including 28 thousand requests for full documents, with the expectation that the extension of the period of reconciling the situation will open the way for the registration of more emerging civil society organizations, which are characterized by wide youth participation. Al-Kabbaj said that the aim of the draft law that the Ministry of Social Solidarity has submitted is to provide an additional period of time for all civil society organizations in Egypt to register and reconcile the situation, especially since the precautionary measures adopted by the state to confront the Kofid-19 pandem Developing them may require more time for some associations to accommodate all organizational procedures to be met. Nevin Al -Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, praised the approval of the Council of Ministers, which reflects the state’s appreciation of its entire institutions for the great role that civil society plays in Egypt, and its keenness to provide all means of support to him, while providing facilities necessary to reconcile its conditions and enhance its efficiency and highlight its achievements in all governorates at the level of the Republic. It is worth noting that all international organizations operating in Egypt have submitted the files of reconciling their conditions, which confirms the confidence of these organizations in increasing the area and freedom of civil action in Egypt according to what was stipulated in the law, in addition to the desire to make long -term partnerships with Egyptian organizations.
